About Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda

Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda is a Nigerian engineer, academic, and political leader from Plateau State. Born in 1968, he built a strong career in digital systems engineering and ICT, spending over two decades in academia, including leadership roles in university ICT development.

He later transitioned into public service, serving as a Resident Electoral Commissioner (INEC), where he promoted electoral technology and inclusion. In politics, he became the APC governorship candidate for Plateau State (2023), served briefly as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction (2024–2025), and was elected National Chairman of the APC in 2025.
