About Prof. Abdul Karim Abubakar Kana

Prof. Abdulkarim Abubakar Kana, SAN, is a Nigerian legal scholar, senior advocate, and politician serving as the APC Deputy National Secretary. Born in 1974 in Nasarawa State, he studied law at the University of Jos, earning his LL.B., LL.M., and Ph.D., as well as a doctorate from the American University, Washington.

He is a Professor of Public Law at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, and former Dean of its Faculty of Law. He founded Kana & Co House of Law and has served as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Nasarawa State, as well as Commissioner for Water Resources.

In the APC, he was appointed National Legal Adviser in 2023 and became Deputy National Secretary in 2025. He also chairs the National Steel Council. A recognized expert in criminal and international law and anti-corruption, he authored Corruption, Development and the Law in Nigeria and is seen as a potential contender for the Nasarawa West Senate seat in 2027.
