About APC
The All Progressives Congress (APC) is a political party in Nigeria, formed on 6 February 2013 in anticipation of the 2015 elections.
Hon. (Chief) Donatus Enyinnaya Nwankpa is a Nigerian politician from Abia State and a senior member of the APC National Working Committee, currently serving as National Welfare Secretary since August 2023. He also chairs the Governing Board of the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (NISLT) and the Project Development Institute (PRODA).
Born on November 28, 1966, in Ariaria, Osisioma Ngwa LGA, he holds degrees in Political Science, Public Administration, and International Affairs, as well as an HND in Business/Public Administration.
Nwankpa previously served as Minority Leader in the Abia State House of Assembly and chaired the House Committee on Information, Culture, and Sports. He was also APC Chairman in Abia State before stepping down in 2022 to promote party unity.
He began his political career as a student leader and later worked as a lecturer at the Nigerian Defence Academy, alongside holding executive roles in the private sector. He remains active in mobilizing the South East for the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
