About Sen. Abubakar Maikafi

Sen. Abubakar Maikafi is a Nigerian politician and administrator serving as the National Auditor of the APC and a member of its National Working Committee. In January 2025, he was appointed Chairman of the Governing Board of the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO).

He represented Bauchi South in the Senate from 2003 to 2007, initially under the PDP before joining the APC. During his legislative career, he contributed to infrastructure and public administration reforms.

Born in 1955 in Bauchi State, he was educated at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and previously worked as a public administrator and grassroots organizer. As National Auditor, he oversees the party’s financial records, promoting transparency and accountability.
