About Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli

Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli (BSA) is a Nigerian lawyer, traditional leader, and politician representing Oyo South in the 10th National Assembly under the APC.

Born on April 20, 1963, in Ibadan, he holds an LL.B., Master’s in Law, and a PhD in Legislative and Strategic Studies, and was called to the Bar in 1987.

He began his political career as the first elected Chairman of Ibadan North LGA (1991), later serving as Secretary to the State Government and Chief of Staff in Oyo State. He also chaired Odu’a Investment Company (2011–2014).

Elected to the Senate in 2023, he is currently the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Electoral Matters.

A respected traditional leader, he is the Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland and runs the BSA Foundation for community development.

Recently, he has advocated for ecological funding to address flooding, led APC unity efforts, supported President Tinubu’s 2027 bid, and promoted the establishment of a Federal Medical Centre in his district.
