About Mohammed Bomai (Senator)

Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai is a Nigerian accountant, former civil servant, and politician representing Yobe South in the 10th National Assembly. Born on February 10, 1960, in Maiduguri, he studied Accountancy at Kaduna Polytechnic and earned an MBA in Finance, with additional executive training abroad. He is a Fellow of ANAN and CITN.

He spent over three decades in public service, rising to Director of Treasury at the FCT Administration before retiring in 2016. He entered politics in 2019 and was re-elected in 2023. In the 10th Senate, he serves as Chairman of the Committee on the Federal Capital Territory.

Known for his technocratic leadership, Bomai focuses on infrastructure, education, and youth empowerment, and has introduced business grants and foreign scholarship programs for his constituents.
