Ahmadu Usman Jaha, widely known as Babawo, is a Nigerian politician and a senior member of the House of Representatives. He represents the Damboa/Gwoza/Chibok Federal Constituency in the 10th National Assembly under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Born on February 2, 1974, in Borno State, he holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the University of Maiduguri, has pursued a Doctorate, and holds professional fellowships including FCIM.

Jaha began his political career in state governance, serving two terms in the Borno State House of Assembly (2007–2015) and later as Commissioner for Higher Education (2015–2018) under Governor Kashim Shettima. Since 2019, he has served at the national level and currently chairs the House Committee on Insurance and Actuarial Matters.

He is recognized for his advocacy on security, providing candid assessments of Boko Haram threats, and calling for increased military accountability. In his constituency, he has focused on humanitarian and development projects, including distributing ambulances and agricultural equipment, and constructing a 600-seat mini stadium in Damboa. As a former education commissioner, he continues to promote educational reforms and the establishment of tertiary institutions in Borno State.
