Borno State | House of representatives
Hon. Abdulkadir Rahis (born June 30, 1968) is a Nigerian politician representing the Maiduguri Metropolitan Federal Constituency of Borno State in the House of Representatives. He is a three-term legislator under the APC.
Born in Borno State, he attended Government Technical College, Bama, and the College of Science and Technology, Bama.
Rahis began his political career in local governance as a ward chairman and Treasurer of the All People’s Party, later serving as Supervisory Councillor for Works and Caretaker Committee Chairman of Maiduguri Metropolitan Council. He also served as Special Assistant to Governor Kashim Shettima and as Borno State Youth Leader.
First elected to the National Assembly in 2015, he currently serves in the 10th Assembly. He has sponsored bills, including the establishment of the Federal College of Entrepreneurship and Skills Acquisition in Maiduguri, and has supported infrastructure projects such as classroom construction, solar streetlights, and borehole renovations. He also previously chaired the El-Kanemi Warriors Football Club board.
