Bassey Joseph is a Nigerian politician serving in the 10th House of Representatives. Born on October 7, 1974, in Cross River State, he holds an MSc degree. He began his political career in the Cross River House of Assembly, representing Calabar South from 2019 to 2023, where he served as Deputy Speaker.

In 2023, he was elected to the National Assembly on the platform of the APC, representing the Calabar South/Akpabuyo/Bakassi federal constituency. He currently chairs the House Committee on Disaster Management and Emergency Preparedness, advocating for improved funding and equipment for NEMA.

Joseph Bassey is known for his constituency-focused initiatives, including a large-scale free medical outreach in 2025, educational infrastructure donations, and strong support for regional development projects such as the Bakassi Deep Sea Port.
