Bassey Akiba Ekpenyong (born February 13, 1970) is a Nigerian politician representing Calabar Municipality/Odukpani in the House of Representatives. He was elected in 2023 on the Labour Party platform and later defected to the APC in December 2024.
He serves as Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Health Care Services and is a member of several committees, including Public Accounts, FERMA, National Security, and Environment. Previously, he was Chairman of Odukpani Local Government (2004–2010) and a member of the Cross River State House of Assembly (2015–2019).
Akiba is known for community-focused initiatives such as the Bridge Cooperative and health, education, and livelihood support programmes. He holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics/Statistics from the University of Calabar and maintains active engagement with his constituents.
