Delta State | House of representatives
Rt. Hon. (Rev.) Francis Ejiroghene Waive, born on May 21, 1966, in Lagos State and hailing from Ughelli South LGA, Delta State, is a Nigerian clergyman, accountant, and politician. He represents the Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives under the APC and is serving his second term.
He earned a B.Sc. in Accounting from Edo State University (now Ambrose Alli University) in 1994, where he was SUG President, and a Master’s in Legislative Studies from NILDS in 2022.
Before politics, he worked in banking at Oceanic Bank (now Ecobank) and founded the Church of the Anointing in Warri in 1997. He also established the Riverine Communities Health & Development Organisation to support underserved communities in the Niger Delta.
He was first elected to the House in 2019, serving as Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Power, and re-elected in 2023, now chairing the House Committee on Rules and Business. He is an advocate for social development through initiatives like the Free Delta Group and authored Road to the House (2020). He is married to Rita, with whom he has five children.
