Ebonyi State | House of representatives
Hon. Chinedu Nweke Ogah, OON (born August 8, 1976), popularly known as “Chiboy,” is a Nigerian politician and philanthropist representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency of Ebonyi State in the House of Representatives. He is serving his second term under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Born in Item village, Amagu community, Ikwo LGA, Ebonyi State, he attended CPS Ohatekwe Amagu Ikwo and CSS Ndufu Alike Ikwo before earning ND and HND degrees in Public Administration from IMT Enugu, as well as an MSc degree.
Ogah began his leadership journey in student politics and youth mobilization, serving as SUG PRO at Ebonyi State University, National President of the Ebonyi Youth Assembly, and PDP Youth Leader in Ebonyi State. He entered the National Assembly in 2019 after a court ruling and was re-elected in 2023. He currently chairs the House Committee on Reformatory Institutions.
Through the Chinedu Ogah Foundation, he supports education and grassroots development with scholarships, exam fee sponsorships, agricultural support, and food distributions. He has also sponsored key bills, including those establishing the Federal College of Food Technology, Ikwo, and amending the Federal University of Ndufu-Alike Ikwo Act.
He is married to Chief Mrs. Mary Chinedu Ogah and has received the national honor of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON). He is also a member of professional bodies such as IPMP and MAN.
