About Omosede Gabriella Igbinedion

Omosede Gabriella Igbinedion is a Nigerian barrister and politician born on May 6, 1981, and a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

She currently represents Ovia North-East/Ovia South-West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, returning to the Assembly after winning a by-election in August 2025 following her defection from the PDP. She first entered the National Assembly in 2015, becoming the youngest female member of the 8th Assembly.

In the legislature, she is known for her advocacy on national security, women’s rights, and girl-child education. She is the daughter of Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom, and Lady Cherry Igbinedion.

She holds an LL.B from the University of Kent, an MSc in Diplomatic Studies from the University of Westminster, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2007. Through the Omosede Igbinedion Foundation, she supports scholarships and community empowerment initiatives.
