About OMOLEYE ABIODUN FRANCIS

Omoleye Abiodun Francis, popularly known as Biodun Omoleye (born December 25, 1968), is a Nigerian politician and member of the 10th National Assembly representing the Ijero/Ekiti West/Efon Federal Constituency of Ekiti State under the APC.

Born in Ijurin-Ekiti, he holds an M.Sc. in International Relations and Strategic Studies. He began his career as a clerical officer at the University of Ife and later worked as a consultant with the British Educational Training and Technology Association.

Omoleye served as Chairman of the Caretaker Committee for Ijero Local Government from 2012 to 2022 and as Chief of Staff to former Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, from 2018 to 2022. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2023.

In the National Assembly, he chairs the Nigeria-Canada Parliamentary Friendship Committee and has sponsored bills, including one to establish the Federal College of Nursing and Midwifery in Ijero Ekiti, reflecting his focus on education and international cooperation.
