About YUSUF AHMED DORO

Yusuf Ahmed Doro, also known as Ahmed Yusuf Ibrahim Doro (AYID), is a Nigerian politician and computer scientist serving in the 10th National Assembly. Born on August 16, 1989, in Katsina State, he represents the Bindawa/Mani Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Education (Computer Science Engineering) from the Islamic University of Technology in Bangladesh in 2014 and an MSc in Computing from Robert Gordon University, Scotland, in 2017. He was also a recipient of the NITDA Postgraduate Scholarship in 2016.

Before entering politics, Doro worked as an ICT/Data Coordinator for the Central Bank of Nigeria’s MSME Development Fund in Katsina State. In the National Assembly, he serves as Vice Chairman of the House Committee on Treaties, Protocol, and Agreements and focuses on agriculture, youth empowerment, and safeguarding national interests.

He is also an entrepreneur and philanthropist, and the founder of the AYID Empowerment Foundation, which supports rural infrastructure and education in his constituency.
