Mohammad Abubakar Ahmad is a Nigerian politician representing the Funtua/Dandume Federal Constituency of Katsina State in the 10th National Assembly under the APC. Born on December 20, 1980, he holds an MSc degree and was elected to the House of Representatives in 2023. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the House Committee on Inland Waterways.
Known as “Gardi,” he is recognized for his strong focus on grassroots and human capital development. His initiatives include facilitating the establishment of NOUN and medical university study centres in Funtua, sponsoring female students in Nursing and Midwifery, advocating for the Funtua Airstrip, installing streetlights, supporting farmers with agricultural inputs, and assisting with healthcare services. He has received community awards for his impact on rural development in Katsina State.
