About YAHAYA ABUBAKAR KUSADA

Abubakar Yahaya Kusada, born on December 25, 1979, in Kusada, Katsina State, is a Nigerian politician and professional quantity surveyor serving his second term in the House of Representatives. He represents the Kankia/Ingawa/Kusada Federal Constituency under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He received his education in Katsina State and holds an HND in Quantity Surveying from Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic, with further studies at Bayero University, Kano, and Al-Qalam University, Katsina. He is a Registered Quantity Surveyor and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors.

Before joining the National Assembly, Kusada served in the Katsina State House of Assembly and became Speaker. He entered the House of Representatives in 2018 through a by-election and was re-elected in 2023.

In the 10th Assembly, he chairs the House Committee on NG-CARES, overseeing community resilience and economic support programs. He has also led international study tours on rural development and digital financial inclusion. Holding the traditional title of Garkuwan Kusada, he is known for his focus on security and community development, including projects such as boreholes and schools.
