Orji Uzor Kalu (born April 21, 1960) is a Nigerian politician, billionaire businessman, and philanthropist, currently serving as Senator for Abia North and Chairman of the Senate Committees on Privatization and South East Development Commission (SEDC).
He was Governor of Abia State (1999–2007), during which Enyimba FC won back-to-back CAF Champions League titles. Kalu is founder of SLOK Holdings and the Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation, which provides scholarships for medical studies abroad.
A member of the APC, he is actively involved in 2027 Abia State governorship strategies and supports President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Kalu holds multiple traditional titles, is married with children, and previously faced a high-profile legal case that was nullified by the Supreme Court.
