Mohammed Omar Bio is a Nigerian politician and two-term member of the House of Representatives, representing the Baruten/Kaiama Federal Constituency of Kwara State in the 10th National Assembly under the APC. Born on June 25, 1964, he holds a Teacher’s Training College (TTC) certificate and previously served as a local government chairman in Baruten.
First elected in 2019 and re-elected in 2023, he currently serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Legislative Budget and Research. His legislative work focuses on grassroots development and social welfare.
His key initiatives include providing 25 boreholes to improve water supply, facilitating classroom and laboratory construction, sponsoring a 2024 motion to investigate NAHCON over Hajj management, and promoting accountability, earning recognition from civil society groups.
