Abdullahi Idris Garba (born September 6, 1975) is a veteran Nigerian politician representing Kontagora/Wushishi/Mariga/Mashegu Federal Constituency in Niger State in the 10th House of Representatives under the APC. First elected in 2007, he is serving his fifth consecutive term and is one of the longest-serving members of the House.
He currently chairs the House Committee on Aviation and previously led the Committee on Agricultural Colleges and Institutions. An HND graduate in Civil Engineering, he is popularly known as “Mai Solar” for providing solar streetlights and water projects in his constituency.
Garba is known for empowerment programmes distributing tricycles, sewing machines, and motorcycles, as well as for prioritizing road rehabilitation, dam maintenance, rural development, and farmer–herder mediation efforts.
