About OGUNBANWO ADELEKE OLUFEMI

Hon. Olufemi Adeleke Ogunbanwo (born October 7, 1967) is a Nigerian lawyer and politician representing the Ijebu Ode/Odogbolu/Ijebu North East Federal Constituency of Ogun State in the 10th National Assembly.

He was born in Ijebu-Ode and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1992. He holds an LL.B and LL.M from the University of Lagos, as well as a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University.

A longtime member of the APC, Ogunbanwo has served as a Special Assistant/Chief Legislative Assistant to Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi, Executive Chairman of Ijebu Ode Local Government, and Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs under Governor Dapo Abiodun. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2023 and has sponsored key legislation, including a bill to establish the Tai Solarin Federal University of Education.

Beyond politics, he is active in community development in Ijebu land, serves as a minister in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and advocates for the creation of Ijebu State. He is also a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and has served as Legal Adviser to the Ijebu-Ode Development Association.
