About Sani Daura

Senator Nasiru Sani Zangon Daura is a Nigerian politician representing Katsina North in the 10th National Assembly under the APC.

Born on January 23, 1959, he was educated at Barewa College, Zaria, studied in the UK, and earned a degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Before joining the Senate in 2023, he served three terms in the House of Representatives (2011–2023).

As of 2026, he chairs the Senate Committee on Cooperation & Integration in Africa and NEPAD, serves as Vice Chairman of the Culture and Tourism and Niger Delta Affairs committees, and has sponsored key bills, including the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission Act (Amendment) Bill, 2025.

He is the son of Alhaji Sani Zangon Daura, a former Federal Minister and elder statesman.
