Mohammed Muntari Dandutse is a Nigerian politician and Senator representing Katsina South in the 10th National Assembly. Born on November 10, 1966, in Dandume, Katsina State, he studied History and International Relations at Ahmadu Bello University, earning both bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
Before politics, he worked in banking, served as a presidential aide, and held corporate leadership positions. He also served as a Local Government Chairman for nine years, earning recognition for his performance.
Dandutse represented Funtua/Dandume in the House of Representatives from 2015 to 2023 before being elected to the Senate in 2023. He currently chairs the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFund and serves as Vice Chairman of the North West Development Commission Committee.
He is known for his role in resolving academic disputes, advocating for improved security in Katsina South, and promoting education policies. A Muslim, he is popularly called “DMM” and remains active in grassroots development and national politics.
