About Hon. Aliu Ademorin Kuye

Rt. Hon. (Barr.) Ademorin Aliu Kuye (born February 11, 1963) is a Nigerian lawyer and three-term member of the House of Representatives, representing the Shomolu Federal Constituency of Lagos State under the APC.

In the 10th National Assembly, he serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Public Assets, where he leads investigations into abandoned government projects and unutilized public assets to promote accountability and recovery of public property. He has sponsored key legislation, including the South West Development Commission Bill, and proposed initiatives such as classifying coconut as a national crop to boost exports and environmental sustainability.

At the constituency level, Kuye has facilitated major infrastructure and social projects, including road rehabilitations, the “Light Up Somolu” solar streetlight programme, free JAMB forms for students, and an 80-bed hostel for nursing students.

A trained legal practitioner with LL.B and LL.M degrees and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, he previously served as Lagos State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and as a Senior Special Adviser to the Minister of Labour. He is also active in party organization and is being considered by some groups for traditional leadership in Ijebuland.
