About Hon. Lanre okunlola

Hon. Arc. Lanre Okunlola is a Nigerian architect and politician serving as the Representative for Surulere II Federal Constituency, Lagos State, in the 10th National Assembly under the APC. He assumed office in 2023, succeeding former Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila.

He is the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Aids, Loans, and Debt Management and is known for his active legislative role, having sponsored several key bills, including proposals for a Federal Medical Centre in Orile and a National Institute for Entrepreneurship in Itire.

Between 2025 and 2026, he facilitated major constituency projects, including the execution of numerous inner roads, social welfare grants, youth empowerment programs, and skills training for women. He has also supported traders, pensioners, and vulnerable groups through financial and material assistance.

Born on January 26, 1966, Hon. Okunlola holds an M.Sc. in Architecture and is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA). Before joining the National Assembly, he worked as a professional architect and served in various public and advisory roles in Lagos State.
