Ned Nwoko is a Nigerian lawyer, politician, and philanthropist serving as Senator for Delta North. Born into the Idumuje-Ugboko royal family, he studied Law and History at University of Keele and earned an LL.M. from King's College London, later qualifying at Lincoln’s Inn.
He built a successful legal career in the UK, founding Ned Nwoko & Co Solicitors, and is best known for helping secure about $20 billion in Paris Club loan refunds for Nigeria. He previously served in the House of Representatives (1999–2003) and was elected Senator in 2023 under the Peoples Democratic Party, but defected to the All Progressives Congress in March 2026.
He is also known for philanthropy, including malaria eradication advocacy, founding a sports university in Delta State, and promoting tourism through his Mount Ned Nwoko Resort.
