Zakaria Dauda Nyampa is a Nigerian politician and financial expert serving as a second-term Member of the House of Representatives for the Madagali/Michika Federal Constituency in Adamawa State. Born on February 12, 1973, he holds a PhD in Leadership and Strategic Studies from Federal University Lokoja and is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
Nyampa was first elected in 2019 under the Peoples Democratic Party but defected to the All Progressives Congress on March 3, 2026, following the defection of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, citing the need for strategic alignment to bring federal development to his constituency. He currently chairs the Ad-hoc Committee on the Expenditure of All Intervention Funds on Security and is recognized as one of the most productive lawmakers from the North East.
His legislative focus includes infrastructure projects such as solar-powered industrial boreholes, road construction, and bridge repairs, as well as security initiatives like relocating army barracks to Michika and increasing support for personnel along the Cameroon border. Through the Zakaria Nyampa Foundation, he provides medical and humanitarian aid, including over ₦100 million in palliative support for vulnerable households. He is an active member of the Ekklesiyar Yan'uwa a Nigeria.
