Peter Onyekachi Nwebonyi (born October 27, 1982) is a Nigerian lawyer and politician, currently serving as Senator for Ebonyi North and Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate.
He studied Law at Ebonyi State University, was called to the Bar in 2007, and previously held roles as Ebonyi State PDP Chairman (2016–2021) and Commissioner for Capital City Development (2021–2022).
Elected to the Senate in 2023 under the APC, he serves as Deputy Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee and Vice Chairman of the Water Resources Committee, while sponsoring constituency empowerment programs and legislative initiatives. Nwebonyi is married with four children and holds the traditional title Ohamadike.
