Imo State | Senator
Osita Bonaventure Izunaso (born October 30, 1966) is a Nigerian lawyer, journalist, and legislator, currently serving as Senator for Imo West. He holds degrees in English, Journalism, Law (First Class), an MBA, and a Ph.D. in Law, and worked as a journalist and National Assembly staff before entering elected office.
Izunaso has served in both the House of Representatives (2003–2007) and the Senate (2007–2011, 2023–present). He is Chairman of the Senate Committees on Capital Market and Institutions and Rules and Business, and has sponsored bills on state creation, capital market reform, and regional development.
He is founder of the Kpakpando Foundation, supports skill development in AI and digital technology, provides medical aid to constituents, and advocates for peaceful political solutions in the South-East.
